I hope this message finds you well. As we move through another exciting week at our school, it is hard to believe that we are creeping towards the halfway through term 4 next week!
Last Friday we celebrated World Teachers Day, taking the opportunity to express our gratitude and appreciation for our dedicated and hardworking educators. We thank our teachers and classroom support tutors for their unwavering commitment to our students' growth and development at Alyangula Area School.
Our Halloween Disco was a spooky success! Students had a fantastic time dressing up and enjoying a fun-filled hour of power filled with dance moves, jelly cups, sour worms and glo sticks! Not to mention the sweet tunes of our mystery DJ - DJ Rayson! We appreciate the support from our school and wider community in making this event memorable for our students.
In keeping with the theme of community spirit, invite you to join the CWA, NT Community Library and Alyangula Area School for a wonderful morning of all things Christmas in preparation for the festive season! The Community Christmas Craft will be held on Saturday morning in the library and Multi-Purpose Room (MPR) from 10am - 12pm. We look forward to seeing you there!
The baking coming out of the kitchen this week was nothing short of EPIC! The Middle and Senior Years students completed their Certificate I in Bakery today, and we couldn't be prouder! A huge thanks to Bill the Baker for inspiring and teaching our students some very impressive skills!
Our teachers are preparing a number of events to communicate information for 2024, and to celebrate our students in 2023. Please keep an eye on the school calendar and our school facebook and seesaw posts to keep informed.
Finally, please note that the Student Representative Council (SRC) lunch ($10 Burger and Cookie) has been rescheduled to Friday, 10th October. Orders will be accepted up until Friday morning.
