Principal's Message
Dear Families,
As we step into the final week of Term 4, it was both a pleasure and a privilege to celebrate the individual successes of students today at our Special Awards Assembly and share a snippet of the remarkable achievements and exciting events that have unfolded within our school community. From the youngest learners to our graduates, there was much to celebrate! Thank you to families for coming in to support. It was a very busy library and Multi Purpose Room this morning!
Navigating the educational journey is a shared endeavour, and our commitment to a seamless transition for our students is a priory for 2024. Our Transitioning to Transition sessions have been instrumental in preparing our students for their first year of formal schooling. Students have engaged and integrated into our Transition class with ease, and the purpose of these sessions are a testament to ensuring each child feels confident and ready to embrace the exciting opportunities that lie ahead next year.
Just as we are preparing our Transition students for the new school, we also welcomed our 2024 Preschool students for their first orientation sessions. These sessions not only introduce children to the school setting but also foster connections with their teachers and future friends. We extend our thanks to parents and Seagrass Early Learning for actively participating in these sessions, and working in partnersip to ensure the transition into Alyangula Preschool is a welcoming experience.
Celebrations were had this week as we congratulated our Year 6 students on Graduating Primary School! The Year 6 Graduation ceremony was an occasion where students, staff and their families came together to celebrate the accomplishments, growth, and memories students have created during their time at Alyangula Area School. We are immensely proud of each student and look forward to witnessing the next chapter of their schooling journey unfold.
Acknowledging the achievements of our students is a cornerstone of our school culture. The Special Awards Assembly was held today, where we recognised students who have exhibited exceptional effort, leadership, and dedication throughout the year. It was a wonderful moment to applaud the hard work and commendable contributions students have made to improving themselves and our school community.
The Assembly today also marked an important milestone, whereby our 2023 Student Leaders handed over their Captainship to the upcoming 2024 Student Leaders. A sincere thank you to the 2023 student leaders for their outstanding commitment, resilience, and positive influence throughout the year. Your dedication has truly left a lasting impact on our school community. As we express our gratitude, we extend heartfelt congratulations to the incoming 2024 student leaders. We are confident that your passion and leadership will further elevate our school spirit and foster an environment of growth and unity.
