Firstly, a Huge Thank You for the Colour Fun Run Success!
What a phenomenal success the Colour Fun Run held on Friday; 2nd August was! Thanks to your incredible support, we have already raised over $6,000! These funds will significantly enhance our STEM program by purchasing green screen technology and 3D printers with plastic shredding capabilities. A special mention goes to Bush Fit, the Police, parents, staff, and families for coming along to support the event. Students had the best time participating in the activities after the colour run too, Sumo Wrestling, Tug of War, Slip n Slide and Bouncy Castles were a hit! We are leaving the fundraising open for a few more weeks to reach our $8,000 target. Please continue to share this initiative among your networks. If you have not yet registered and sponsored your child, please sign them up and get behind the event.

A heartfelt thank you to all the families who attended our student-led conferences in Week 3. Your involvement is crucial in supporting your child's education and helps foster a strong home-school connection. Attending these conferences allows you to celebrate your child's achievements and understand their learning journey, which positively impacts their academic and personal growth.
Yesterday, our school was taken over by some mini grannies as our Transition class celebrated 100 days of school! Students came dressed as 100-year-olds and participated in various fun activities involving the number 100. Congratulations tour Transition students on this milestone!
This week also marks the completion of the second block delivery of VET Cookery for our Senior Years students. Our student chefs have been busy in our trade training kitchen, cooking up three meals each day and meeting competencies towards their attainment of Cert II. Great work, everyone!

This week we send families the link to access the School Opinion Survey. We kindly request all families to complete the School Opinion Survey, an essential tool that helps us gather valuable feedback on various aspects of our school. Your insights are crucial in identifying our strengths and areas for improvement, guiding our efforts to provide the best possible educational experience for our students. The survey is completely anonymous and takes only a few minutes to complete. Your participation will directly impact our school's strategic planning and decision-making processes, ensuring that we continue to meet the needs of our students and community. Please take the time to share your thoughts and help us shape the future of our school. The survey closes on 23rd August at 5pm.
A reminder that the Picnic Day Markets are happening tomorrow at the Arc. This fantastic community event, run by GEMCO, is an excellent opportunity to support our local businesses and artists. If you are available, please head down to join in the fun.
Thank you for your continued support and engagement in our school community. Have a great weekend!
Best regards,
Mel Dougherty
